School’s out and summer is here! Now that kids are home and looking for things to do, TriCounty Health Department wants to encourage families to take part in fun activities that promote the health of the entire family. One of our Health Educators, Daniel, went on the radio to share some healthy summer activity ideas for families.

Dinosaurland is holding their annual Passport to Summer Program. This year’s passport has 104 activities geared toward getting kids outdoors and exploring the community. One of those activities is a coloring contest sponsored by TriCounty and gives participants the chance to win a prize.

We’re also holding our annual Walking Challenge. From June 1 to July 31 we invite the community to take 10,000 steps a day and explore local parks for the chance to win prizes.
